- Extensive, hands‑on rubber compounding experience – this is essential and non‑negotiable
- Experience leading or managing a technical or lab team
- Strong understanding of product development, testing and ISO/industry standards
- Confident working with customers and providing clear technical guidance
- Commercially aware with a solutions‑focused mindset

About the Role
- Lead rubber compounding product and process development for high‑performance applications
- Manage and develop the lab and technical team
- Create recipes, mix cycles and testing specifications
- Ensure compliance with British, International and customer standards
- Investigate and resolve non‑conformances
- Support sales with technical expertise and costings
- Oversee external testing, trials and commissioning
- Stay ahead of materials and technology developments
- Contribute to long‑term technical strategy and innovation
