We’re looking to recruit an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our client, a global engineering business who have an incredibly healthy order book way into next year who have a seriously impressive customer base.

Do you love sales?  Building relationships and negotiating?  And plenty of travel?

If so, and you have an engineering background, then we want to hear from you!

About You:

  • You’ll be inquisitive, tenacious, a confident communicator of course, a natural sales person who loves developing relationships with customers.
  • You’ll have engineering experience and engineering qualifications as this is a technical sell.
  • You will be happy with international travel, as there will be lots of time spent onsite with customers, predominantly in Europe.
  • You will be well-organised and a self-motivated individual and will leaving no stone unturned where opportunities are concerned. You will have impeccable attention to detail.

About the Job:

  • You’ll manage your own given territory of new and existing customers with regular travel to their manufacturing sites overseas.
  • Create new business opportunities for existing or new products, reconstruction, automation, spare parts and services.
  • Provide the customers with market knowledge, technical information on product and to identify business development opportunities.
  • Provide quotations, deal with enquiries, prepare contractual information.
  • You will maintain effective communication and cooperation with the relevant Business units and departments within the Group.
  • You will be the “one face to the customer” for all commercial aspects.
  • This role will require overseas travel up to 50% of your time.
