Assistant Product Manager

We’re recruiting an Assistant Product Manager for a successful homeware business in Preston – and we’re looking for someone who brings a great blend of commercial thinking, analytical ability and creativity.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in Product Management and get hands-on with everything from new product launches and range development to data, trends and market insights.

About the job

• Support new product development from initial idea through to launch
• Help develop and improve existing product ranges
• Analyse product, sales and market data to identify trends and opportunities
• Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to keep projects moving
• Manage product information, specifications and data
• Support the wider Product team with research and market intelligence
• Get involved in launches, product improvements and exciting new projects
• Bring your own ideas, creativity and commercial thinking to the team

About you

• You may already work in Product, Buying, Merchandising, Planning or Product Development
• You’re confident with data and Excel and enjoy getting into the detail
• But you’re not just a numbers person – you’ve also got a creative eye
• You’re organised, curious and commercially minded
• You can juggle several projects without losing sight of the detail
• You’re proactive and happy to take ownership
• You’re a great communicator who enjoys working with different teams and suppliers
• Experience within homeware, interiors, textiles or consumer products would be a real advantage
