Buyer – Technical Textiles
Are you an experienced Buyer from manufacturing / engineering? Can you work autonomously with little guidance? Have you got strong analytical & reporting skills?
Working closely with the Supply Chain Director, you’ll take ownership of all purchasing for the site.
About You
- You’ll have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Buyer.
- It’s essential that you’re self-motivated, assertive and driven.
- You’ll be taking over from someone who’s been doing a great job for the past 10 years; you must be able to hit the ground running.
- If you’ve got a CIPS qualification, that’s advantageous.
- It would be preferable if you’ve previously worked on an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.
- Speaking a 2nd European language is desirable but absolutely not a game changer.
About The Job
- You’ll join as a Buyer in a stand-alone role.
- It will be your responsibility to order products, services and raw materials for the business.
- Your suppliers will be a key focus and you will be expected to visit them regularly to negotiate prices, SLA’s and terms. This may involve overseas travel on occasion.
- You will control stock and the order management process working with the wider supply chain team.
- Naturally you’ll need to be commercially astute with the ability to manage a large departmental budget.
