About You

  • You’ll be a time-served Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 12 months supervisory / management experience..
  • It’s essential that you’ve previously fitted and maintained manufacturing machinery.
  • In an ideal world, you’ll have had exposure previously to textile machinery.
  • You should have some welding and fabrication experience along with a working knowledge of pipework and boilers.
  • Experience of milling and turning is also an advantage.
  • You will have a full, clean driving licence and your own transport.

About The Job

  • Working closely with the Group Engineering Manager, you’ll supervise and manage a well-established and committed team of engineers across a handful of sites around Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
  • You will need to travel between the local sites and to collect parts from suppliers.
  • You will ensure that planned and preventitive maintenance to machinery and equipment across all sites is undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Making sure that maintenance carried out is in line with with ISO 9001: 2000, ISO 14001 and other customer specific standards.
  • Working with the management team, you’ll help in identifying areas of concern and implementing process improvements.
  • Along with the engineers across the business, you’ll be on an on-call rota for out of hours emergencies.
  • You’ll work in line with all company Health & Safety procedures and promote these across the team.
