We’re looking for a strong-minded and hands-on Production Manager with a deep understanding of textile finishing and/or wet processing to lead a team of 30.

The ideal person would be a natural leader who is confident, decisive and able to integrate smoothly into an established team.

About the role

As the Production Manager you’ll-

  • Oversee and manage daily production operations, ensuing efficiency, quality and on-time delivery.
  • Lead, mentor and motivate the team with a positive and productive work culture.
  • Optimise wet processing and textile finishing techniques to maintain high standards, prevent defects and minimize waste.
  • Implement and enforce health & safety regulations across the production floor.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement activities (CI) and foster an environment of employee engagement, empowerment and teamwork in relation to CI and lean manufacturing.
  • Monitor and evaluate worker performance providing constructive feedback and corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with QC and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Carry-out routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Make sure the production area is clean, organized and compliant with H&S.

About you

  • You’ll have at least 5 years of experience within production manufacturing, and 3 years in a supervisory role is essential.
  • It’s essential that you have a strong working background in textiles.
  • Very strong leadership and team management abilities, to inspire and drive performance.
  • Good knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
  • A natural people’s person – approachable, communicative and able to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office
  • You’ll be happy getting involved to a hands-on level if required.
  • A strong character, able to question current thinking and brainstorm solutions.
