We’re partnering with a West Yorkshire manufacturer who have a growth strategy in place.  They are looking for an experienced Lab / QC Technician to join their technical team.

Maybe you’ve recently graduated and are looking for that first step into textiles or maybe you’ve already got lots of experience but looking for a good employer who will let you flourish.

About You

  • Ideally you will have had exposure to working in a laboratory with textiles, chemicals, coatings or dyes – this could be during your studies or in employment
  • You should have an analytical mindset and be able to provide accurate analysis and reporting of your findings
  • You’ll need to be a people-person and will enjoy collaborating with internal teams including product development and production
  • With your high attention to detail, you will thrive on providing top-tier, critical information to your team
  • You’ll have patience, independence and a passion for textiles
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise and shift your focus is needed for this role

About The Role

  • You’ll join as Laboratory Technician and will work in support of the Product Development Manager
  • Your primary responsibilities will be day to day testing of incoming samples, raw materials, in-process and finished goods using various testing methods
  • You should have a good eye for colour and will need to undertake a test at interview stage
  • You will record, review, file and report findings of all testing, escalating any anomalies and making suggestions for improvement
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and in good working order, ready for next use
