We’re working with a well-known and highly respected manufacturer near Hadfield in Derbyshire, a business we’ve partnered with for many years.

They’ve grown immensely and are now looking for a Trainee Production Manager that has the ambition to step into a leadership role; one with real responsibility and unlimited support.

You won’t be thrown in at the deep end, but you’ll be trusted, coached and given the space to grow.

About You

  • You’ve got around 3–5 years’ experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Graduate calibre; ideally with an engineering or related degree
  • You’re motivated, positive and ready to soak up as much knowledge as you can
  • You’re comfortable working with data and enjoy solving problems
  • A people-person. You’re confident on the shop floor and able to build trust at all levels
  • You lead by example and love being involved in the day-to-day running of the business

About the Role

  • Take responsibility for safety, people and performance within your area
  • You’ll be an advocate for continuous improvement within the manufacturing processes
  • Learn to lead, coach and develop a team of around 40 people
  • Champion safety, standards and best practice on the shop floor
  • Help create a positive, engaged working environment
  • Support production targets, balancing quality, cost and efficiency
  • Work closely with engineering to keep equipment running reliably
