About You
• You’ll be a time-served multiskilled engineer with an electrical bias
- Experience working with PLCs, motor controls, wiring, pneumatics, and gearboxes
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Engineering qualifications (e.g. 17th/18th Edition, Apprenticeship, HNC/HND)
• Ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively
• A proactive mindset — spotting issues before they escalate
• Happy working a permanent nightshift Monday to Friday
About The Job
• Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective breakdown repairs
• Working with PLCs, electrical systems, and mechanical components
• Supporting and contributing to engineering and improvement projects
• Writing, reviewing, and training on maintenance procedures (including LOTO)
• Raising and reviewing risk assessments
• Coordinating and managing external contractors
• Sourcing and managing spare parts (critical and non-critical)
• Collaborating with day shift production teams to maintain safety and performance standards
